We live in such a beautiful place and we need to work together to keep it that way. The Takapuna North Community Trust takes great pride in supporting local groups doing great work to preserve and enhance our environment - get in touch if there is a way we could help you or connect you with groups you might be able to belong to.

Environmental Network Meetings

We facilitate and support a quarterly Takapuna North Environmental Network Meeting. Anyone is welcome to attend. The Environmental Network Meeting is an informal meeting with attendees discussing and sharing issues and ideas around environmental protection and pest free programmes. For dates of the next meeting, please see the calendar of events. Attendees must RSVP to attend the meeting by emailing office@takapunatrust.org.nz .

Pest Eradication

We work with local community and environmental groups to provide support in pest eradication by distributing traps when they are available and by ensuring that the groups have knowledge, input and support around funding opportunities and information about Council and local government plans that might affect the local environment.

Reserve and Beach Clean Ups

We support community led reserve clean ups by liaising with the local Parks team to provide rubbish bags and gloves,  running a sausage sizzle and by arranging for rubbish collection following the event. We hold an annual Schools Beach Clean Up event in March where local primary and secondary school students are encouraged to clean up their local beach or park. For more information about the Beach Clean up event, email Roanna@takapunatrust.org.nz .
